Principal of the Year 2024

We’d like to congratulate Fostra Elementary’s Principal Jan Voda on winning the Principal of the Year 2024 Award.

Jan Voda, principal of the upcoming Fostra Elementary School, has won the prestigious Principal of the Year 2024 Award. He was chosen to receive this award by an expert jury as part of the Czech Future project, which praises innovative approaches and progressive methods in education at basic and secondary schools in the Czech Republic.

The aim of the Principal of the Year category is to highlight personalities who are significantly contributing to innovations in Czech education and are committed to furthering the development of the youngest generation. This year, the jury reviewed several finalists and decided on their winner Jan Voda, not only for his excellent managerial skills, but above all for his personal approach, which emphasizes students’ individual needs.

Starting this September, it is precisely this vision that will shape our new Fostra Elementary School. Under Jan Voda's leadership, Fostra Elementary will offer a respectful and stimulating environment that is sensitive to the uniqueness of individual students and allows them to fully develop a diverse range of skills and interests from an early age.

"Being principal to the students and teachers is a great responsibility. If you don’t have balanced relationships based on respect in a school, everything else is superficial. I could boast about how we use modern methods in teaching, artificial intelligence and so on, but under my leadership, the school is mainly a workshop in being human," says Jan Voda about his work.
