Primary school

In the elementary years, we introduce children to a safe and friendly school community. They naturally begin to use English and learn bilingually. In a stimulating and creative environment, they will have the opportunity to develop their talents and acquire practical skills for their future lives.

1st grade

In the first grade, we provide a friendly and stimulating environment to help your child smoothly transition from preschool to primary school. Our school program supports the development of essential skills and offers an individual approach, creating an ideal foundation for a successful start to school life.

Secondary school

The uniqueness of our junior high grade level lies in its direct connection to our four-year FOSTRA grammar school. If you are considering this academic path for your child, we offer high-quality preparation and a points advantage for the entrance exam. Our teaching at the junior high level ensures a smooth transition, providing your child with a solid foundation. The education is bilingual, with an individual approach and support for personal growth.

6th grade

The 6th grade is a transition between the elementary and junior high stages of education, where the demands for children's independence increase, and the range and specialization of subjects expand. In our 6th grade, we teach children how to learn—we reinforce the necessary study habits and self-management skills and create new opportunities for the development of their talents and natural interests.

8th grade

From the 8th grade onwards, we focus on developing skills necessary for later high school studies and professional direction. Preparatory courses and career counseling help students navigate their future and increase their chances of being accepted to their chosen secondary school. We offer the advantage of priority admission to our Fostra grammar school.

Enrollment and transfer

Enrollment in the 1st grade

For children who will begin compulsory schooling in September 2025, we offer and recommend attending our DEMOday event prior to the official enrollment date (April 1, 2025). This event provides the advantage of an early assessment of the child’s readiness for school, which helps to accurately determine if the child will be admitted to the 1st grade. Participation in DEMOday ensures that our school is a suitable environment for the child, promising academic success, effective development, and the fulfillment of their individual educational needs throughout their schooling.

We organize DEMOday for future first graders as a 45-minute session with tasks in small groups of three children, conducted in both Czech and English. You can sign up for it at our open house or here. For school enrollment, it is necessary for the child to demonstrate readiness for education according to our school’s educational program. These readiness criteria include:

  1. School readiness

  2. Language proficiency for bilingual study

  3. Social skills in foreign language interaction

  4. Adaptability to the school environment and its norms

Transfer to higher grades

To be accepted into a higher grade, applicants are required to complete a 60-minute DEMOday, organized in small peer groups. The purpose of this session is to verify that the applicant can adapt to the educational approach at our school.

At DEMOday, we assess::

  1. The applicant's introduction (portfolio or other documentation of interests and achievements can be provided)

  2. Cooperation with others (both peers and teachers) during group activities, adherence to agreed-upon rules

  3. Interaction in both Czech and English

  4. Engagement in the task and effort demonstrated

You can register for DEMOday using the form below or through a non-binding application.
