The successful future starts with a high-quality team of teachers.
At Fostra Elementary, our team is carefully selected to ensure that every student can develop their potential in an environment full of support and inspiration. Together with the children, we create a strong foundation for their academic excellence and future life successes.
I am an experienced educator dedicated to the development of education. I focus on creating a school environment where both students and teachers feel comfortable, and where children gain skills that will help them succeed in the digital world of the 21st century. My philosophy is based on the belief that school should not only be a preparation for life but also a place full of joy and imagination. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed if we provide them with the space to grow and develop their self-confidence, courage, and responsibility.
With over 20 years of experience as the principal of three primary schools, I have also worked as an academic and instructor. I am certified as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and have been recognized as a two-time winner of the Global Teacher Forum. I was also a finalist for the Global Teacher Prize in the Czech Republic and in 2024, I was honored with the title of School Director of the Year. I hold a doctorate in pedagogy and an MBA in school management. Under my leadership, every school I’ve worked with has achieved significant improvement, as confirmed by the Czech School Inspection.
I enrich the school environment with my managerial and organizational skills, which I gained through my experience at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. These experiences allow me to effectively contribute to the development of the school and innovations in the educational process.
I am actively involved in project-based learning, which supports the development of students' skills in the real world. In addition, I organize school trips and excursions that provide students with new experiences outside the classroom.
I ensure smooth communication with authorities, whether it concerns administrative matters or cooperation with external partners. I lead the student affairs department, where I am responsible for student support and communication with parents. I am also a key figure in organizing the admissions process, ensuring that it runs smoothly and transparently.
I am responsible for communication with potential students and their parents. My main task is to present the benefits of studying at Fostra Gymnasium, inspiring parents and students to choose this school, which connects education with real-life experience, and providing information about the programs offered, while building positive relationships with prospective students. I am fascinated by how education opens doors for personal development, allowing students to unlock their potential and preparing them for future success. Part of my job is not only ensuring the smooth process of recruitment but also sharing this passion and helping students find a direction that will excite and fulfill them.
I work as a special education teacher with qualifications as a child psychotherapist. My focus is on supporting children, parents, and the entire team. My priority is creating a positive and safe environment, which is reflected in the atmosphere throughout the school. I actively collaborate with parents, providing professional support in addressing educational and parenting issues, and I make an effort to involve them in school activities, strengthening mutual trust and cooperation. Open communication and building relationships based on trust are key for me. Thanks to my mediation skills, I can resolve conflicts and also teach children the art of communication, even in tense situations. My approach is based on listening, empathy, and a sensitive response to the needs of others, which creates a harmonious environment for both children and adults.
I am an enthusiastic teacher who believes that education is a path for students to discover new things and grow in what they already know. My goal is to contribute to the education of the next generation of creative thinkers and change-makers. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, which is why I strive to adapt my methods to individual needs. I have years of experience teaching in schools in the Czech Republic, Uganda, and Nigeria. I have worked as a teacher of mathematics, physics, and English, as well as a technical consultant in software engineering. I am a graduate of the Offshore Technology Institute at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria, and I earned my PhD in Applied Mechanics from the Technical University of Liberec. In my free time, I enjoy poetry, writing my own works, music, and cooking. I love explaining mathematical techniques with simple and understandable examples.
I am responsible not only for teaching the Czech language but also for inspiring young people on their academic journey. My goal is to use my knowledge and experience to help students develop a deeper connection to the Czech language and literature, motivating them to explore new perspectives and goals. I have over five years of experience in education, where I have taught Czech language, literature, social studies, and music education at both high schools and elementary schools. I am the chair of the methodological cabinet for language and communication and actively participate in the development of educational methods. Outside of teaching, I am an active artist. As a singer and actress at the RockOpera Prague theater, I participate in concerts, festivals, and other artistic projects. The experiences I gain from the art world I bring into my teaching, where I encourage creativity and personal development among students.
I believe that my teaching has the potential to positively impact the world. My goal is to guide students towards a deeper understanding of history and contemporary society, emphasizing their complexity and interconnectedness with various factors. I believe that improving students' critical thinking and their view of the world has a long-term impact. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and am continuing my studies at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague. I organize field trips and olympiads, and I have also developed my pedagogical skills as an English teacher and leader of extracurricular activities. In my free time, I engage in politics, read, enjoy spending evenings with friends playing board games, listen to science podcasts, or enjoy hiking and watching movies.
With my deep education in theoretical and evolutionary biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry, I bring not only expertise but also a passion for scientific thinking and a critical approach to discovering the laws of nature into my teaching. I work as an environmental coordinator, focusing on developing ecological awareness among students. My teaching experience includes positions at several schools, where I have taught in both Czech and English. Due to my multidisciplinary career, I have a broad perspective on education, which enriches my interactive and creative teaching methods. Outside of school, I enjoy drawing, painting, photography, video, and sound design. My interests include nature walks, yoga, dance, films, and literature, reflecting my versatile personality both in teaching and in my personal life.
I ensure the smooth progress of our projects and events. I am responsible for organizing tenders, selecting and coordinating logistics for courses and student trips. I actively communicate with parents and students, providing them with up-to-date information and administrative support. Thanks to my meticulous approach, I ensure that everything runs smoothly and according to plan.
