Meeting Writer and Journalist Alice Horáčková

Our students had the opportunity to meet Alice Horáčková, a writer and journalist, who visited our school to look at their reports.

Together, they reviewed the reports the students are preparing for the Reporters at the Start competition. During the session, the students received professional feedback, discussed what worked well and thought about what could still be improved before submitting their work.

It was a valuable experience for the students. They were able to consult their work with someone from the field, better understand how journalists think about stories and reporting, and gain a fresh perspective on their own writing.

The programme also included a presentation of the book Ella, where students shared their impressions, interpretations and observations.

Meetings like this help students develop their ability to express their ideas, accept feedback and work with texts in greater depth. They also show that learning can naturally connect with the real world and with the experience of people from professional practice.
