Fostra Elementary is a British Council Advantage member and prepares students for Cambridge English Qualifications

We are pleased to announce that Fostra Elementary has achieved British Council Advantage Standard Member status for the 2026/2027 school year. At the same time, we are preparing our students for Cambridge English Qualifications, internationally recognised English language exams.

English as a natural part of everyday school life

English plays an important role at Fostra Elementary. Half of our lessons are taught in English, and children develop their language skills not only during classes, but also through everyday communication and other activities at school.

Our goal is not simply to teach English grammar and vocabulary. We want children to be able to use English confidently, understand it naturally and gradually become more comfortable communicating in the language.

Preparing for Cambridge English Qualifications

The next step in developing our students’ English skills is the opportunity to prepare for Cambridge English Qualifications. In the 2026/2027 school year, we are entering our students for these exams through the British Council. In connection with this, we have also become a British Council Advantage Standard Member.

Preparation for Cambridge English Qualifications naturally builds on our bilingual approach to education. Children can continue developing their language skills while also gaining experience with an internationally recognised system of English language qualifications.
