A writer visited our school

At Fostra, we believe that a love for reading grows through experience, not obligation. That is why we were delighted to welcome Šárka Rosová Váňová, who showed children that books are not just words on paper, but living worlds full of imagination and emotion.
During the visit, children listened to stories about books, childhood and how ideas are born. The conversation was calm, natural and very close to the children’s own experiences. It encouraged curiosity, questions and active participation. This was not just listening, but real dialogue. Children shared their thoughts, asked questions and explored their own creativity.

A special highlight was the book signing, which gave children a personal and memorable connection to reading. For many of them, it was their very first meeting with a real author. Moments like these help build a positive relationship with books and show children that stories are accessible and meaningful.
Meeting inspiring people is a natural part of learning at Fostra. It supports joy in learning, imagination, communication and mutual respect. Children learn in a safe environment where they are encouraged to express themselves and grow at their own pace.
We believe that real experiences give education deeper meaning. And this visit was one of those moments that stays with children long after the book is closed.
