Visit to the Rückl Glassworks
Our students visited the Rückl glassworks, where they had the chance to see first-hand how traditional Czech crystal is made. The entire process sparked their curiosity, as glassmaking combines craftsmanship, art, precision and a long cultural heritage.
During the tour they followed the journey from glowing molten glass to the final hand cut product. They watched the furnaces, observed skilled glassmakers at work and discovered how much patience and mastery is hidden behind every piece of crystal we see in everyday life.
The students also spoke with the artisans about why Czech crystal is valued worldwide. They learned about traditional techniques as well as modern design and left with a deep respect for a demanding craft that has been passed down through generations.
Visits like this enrich education by allowing children to understand the world through real experiences. The Rückl glassworks proved to be a place where learning transformed into an inspiring and memorable discovery.
